Regulatory and financial instability of in the EU and the U.S. together with the increasing lack electricity in countries outside the European Union, and the reduction in prices of the PV modules in a period of one year from - 1.75 $ / W (March 2011) to the price of 1 $ / W GRID PARITY (for June 2012), changed the rules of the global PV market. Preparedness of SBY to the changing reality - after the investment in the company - includes the following actions: • In the first stage - and immediately after completion of the investment in the company, the company will focus on the acquiring licenses that are in an advanced or final stage only, to build and connect systems in Turkey, South Africa, Hawaii, Canada, Ukraine and Israel, which will expand the establishment potential of the company and within a short period of half year, the company will increase the scope of the owned licenses from 90-100 MW to approximately: 400-500 MW - while all those projects will be constructed during the years 2012-2013.
• The second phase - the company will begin an independent development of the licenses on the rooftops in countries where the agreements with property owners will be signed. The company also will acquire ground-based licenses and options to become the central developer and EPC in Israel, in the Middle East and in South Africa. Afterwards, risk assessment will be performed in other aforementioned countries, while reviewing the interface between the electricity shortages on the one hand and electricity prices on the other. • The company will act in a way of calculated and responsible risk management while performing thorough due diligence for a license which will be by ORRICK, the law firm in Italy, electrical engineers and experts on building permits and other professionals who will be finalized by the Parties. The company also will be accompanied at all processes by the PWC accounting office for the financial tests.
