Electricity Supply:

Power utility company: Chile has 15 different regions from north to south, and about 14 different electric companies/distributers working under the ministry of energy and under government rule, these are semi-private electric companies.

PV radiation:  In Chile goes between 900 KWH/ per KW in the south to 2,200KWH per KW in the northern Atacama Desert.

PV Market: First ground PV plant installed in Chile is a 9MW field in the Atacama Desert by Solarpak Spain, the plant will be enlarged to 20MW and later on 250MW in the near future.

Other foreign companies working in Chile include Sanyo and the German Inventor alongside many local companies.
